How to Make Almond Paste

Have you ever tried making your own almond paste? It’s really not that difficult! This post will make you realize that you should be making almond paste at home — no point in buying it! (VIDEO ABOVE)

Ingredients

  • 200 ml almond meal (about 2 cups)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 to 5 tsp milk

Instructions

  • In a food processor, mix together almond meal, sugar and powdered sugar.
  • Add 3 tsp of milk. Mix.
  • If the texture is still too dry, add another teaspoon of milk (and so on). NOTE:  I have never used more than 5 tsp of milk.
  • Form a roll of the almond paste.
  • Cover tightly with plastic wrap.
  • Store in refrigerator (or freezer for longer time).
