Ice cream scooper
Piping bag
- 1 serving coffee, chilled
- 2 to 3 scoops ice cream
- 3/4 cup cream, chilled
- cocoa powder, for dusting (optional)
- chocolate sprinkles, for dusting (optional)
Whip the cream and transfer it to a pastry bag --- all set for piping into eiskaffee in a bit.
Place 2 to 3 scoops of ice cream in a tall glass.
Pour the cold coffee into the scoops of ice cream. Do not fill the glass to the rim; leave enough space on top for the whipped cream.
Take the pastry bag and pipe the cream on top.
Add the chocolate sprinkles to finish preparing your eiskaffee.
Insert a straw in the glass and serve!

Cook's Tip #1: It's better to prepare your coffee the way you want it (i.e., add sugar) before placing it in the refrigerator to chill for your eiskaffee.
-
Cook's Tip #2: Since you are not adding ice to the glass, the colder the coffee is, the better it is when you pour it into the ice cream.
-
Cook's Tip #3: You can use a shorter glass (or mug) for eiskaffee, but make sure you adjust the amount of the ice cream as well.
